Launched: SEEDS

Hi all, happy Friday.

I’ve just launched my new venture SEEDS, beginning with developing a tech skills school, right here in Melbourne at the amazing Sanders Place Impact Hub in Richmond.

For those who don’t know some of my background, I led partnerships for General Assembly in Aus around 2015 - 2017. I’ve led programs for building more tech talent pathways, and I’m passionate about the role IRL education plays in enabling that. (plus my Dad's been a teacher for 40+ years)

Because of my love for journalism and new media, I am also launching a publication alongside it, focused on tactical learnings from ANZ Tech Builders. It’s very much inspired by First Round Capital new media, but ANZ focused only. Many stories to tell!

I’ve launched some intentional partnerships with Sanders Place and Tractor Ventures, and look forward to delivering some pretty substantial things in market from now on. A regular pitch night, and a new media summit, would sound about right.

SEEDS is bootstrapped, and I have no ambition to scale it overseas.

But, the actual ambition is not small, and I’m already having discussions on aspects such as physical space, product-building factories, special projects such as large-scale hackathons, and even interstate enquiries. But not the time for that, yet.
