QWERTY: "Knock Knock" -> "Who's Out There?"

On: Curating stories of tech builders building interesting stuff. And asking the GROUP for suggestions, because what's the point if you're not exposed to anything new.

I've got some banger interviews and features on the way. I'd love to organise some more! So I thought it good to ask the GROUP via my new QWERTY content stream (which will usually be me tap-tapping on my keyboard with some opinionated opinions)

It’s been really pleasing to begin to receive more and more feedback on some of the articles being produced via GROUPED. Some of it “Love This!” some of it “Too Fucking Long!” and some of it “You know who you should feature right? This person: <Name>

I’ve always had a very collaborative nature in my work, whether that be the events run with various partners, setting up partnerships, or even thinking back to days of playing in bands and grouping up with other bands to play multiples shows or whatever.

As a few more suggestions for GROUPED have come through the comms, I thought I would open it up a bit and see whether people had some suggestions. Can’t feature them all of course, but always open to suggestions, of course.

It’s easier if I just feature a bunch of topics I’m already curating around, but there’s probably no guardrails: if it sits somewhere between tech, and culture, and capital, and feels unique and nichey, and there’s a certain amount of building effort put into it, I’ll probably be into it. You can read my thoughts and opinions on the importance of curation HERE.

A non-exhaustive list of topics I’m writing on as of this moment:

Sports-tech, Psychedelics, Collecting Behaviour, Venture Studios (agency-to-product stories by extension), Sex-Tech, Mushrooms & Mycelium, Video Games and of course anything in Audio/Music-Tech.

It’s not unfocused, it’s just surfacing a more interesting (to me) set of stories of projects, companies and the people building them, which is usually a group of people a little right-of-stage, and that’s probably more attractive for me to profile tbh.

Usually, I’ll profile AU/NZ stories. Unless I don’t!

Love a good suggestion, thank you. And hope you enjoy some opinionated opinions via my QWERTY content stream. It’s fun smashing a keyboard with a stream of consciousness and not overthinking it.

A LIL CURATION:

I didn’t think I liked Alien:Earth at first. Felt a bit off, a bit schlocky. But now I do, a LOT.
